My low voltage landscape ligting recently stopped working.?
I came home from vacation and both of my 2 sets of lights (1 along the house, 1 along the garage) are not lighting. Every light on the cable is out. The timer is still running, but nothing lights when I throw the switch on the transformer. Should I try to trim the wires, the contacts look a bit dirty/rusty or do I need new transformer boxes?

Get a voltmeter. Measure the voltage at the tap. Is it 12V? If it is check from the transformer out to each fixture connection. If they are all out, either you have a break in your line, which happens with gardeners and lawn service companies around, or your transformer may have developed a problem. Disconnect the timer and switch the power on, it may be that also.
