gr 11 math problem?

low-voltage lighting is a popular feature of landscaping. Two pathways meet at 30degrees to each other. one pathway has the lighting, and the first light is placed where the two paths meet, as shown. the distance between successive lights is 5cm, and each has a range of effective illumination of 6m. for the second pathway, find, to the nearest tenth of a metre, the length that is
a) effectively illuminated
b) effectively illuminated by both B & C
c) effectively illuminated by light C or D

i dont get it … what is the effective illumination? it says 6m .. does that mean that its the opposite of the triangle? i dont know how to start it

audio cable recommendations?

Hiya all,

I have a question that it appears no one can give me an answer or maybe there is no standard answer for this question.

I have a pair of TIC 300W Outdoor rock speakers, I am looking at installing these in my backyard and having a power amp installed in the house.

My question is about the cable that I need to run the distance from the amp to the speakers is approximately 50 feet for 1 speaker and 60 feet for the other.

My head is saying the higher grade cable I use the better ie 10AWG or actually using 4mm low voltage lighting cable. A few people have suggested that I by awg14 cable and do double runs and join them together, this sounds a little expensive.

Any ideas/suggestions.

Imran
The details of the Amplifier I am looking at purchasing to run the speaker set up is the BEHRINGER EURO POWER EP1500 – 2 x 700W.

Which Recessed Lighting is good for kitchen?

I am remodeling my 8 x 8 kitchen. I would like to put 5 recessed lighting. However I don’t know which one will give me a good light at the kitchen. I live in second floor and have access to attic so I can install Non IC or iC model but my question is for low voltage recessed lighting. How bright is the low voltage lighting system? Are they good for kitchen? Considering that my plan is to put two of them above the sink, one above stove and two opposite of sink? Sorry for long question. I need to find it asap. Please answer it with details.

Can I get 110V from a 220V line?

I’m not going to atempt this myself, I am just curious since I will be having a new 220V line installed for a spa. Can you run a 220V buried conduit line out to a location ie. a patio and tap one leg to get 110V say for low voltage lighting or some other small draw. I was curious since I will be running the cable underground myself once I consult with an electrician. I figured I’d ask since It was on my mind.

Low voltage house address number sign not lighting up?

Took my illuminated low voltage house address sign down at dusk (both bulbs were on, so I flipped the garage circuit breaker to cut the power) by disconnecting the the two black wires (connected to ea bulb housing) from a red wire and a green wire (there are two other unused wire in the group). Took the housing inside to clean it, put it back together and now nothing lights up. I’ve re-cut the wires, swapped them (which shouldn’t matter) and yet no light bulbs light up. This shouldn’t be this difficult or frustrating. Also, where in the heck does the cable for the house address sign terminate? Confused to the point I want to smash this thing just for anger release! Any ideas?
BTW, in terms of a transformer, there is NOTHING to be found. Wiring goes into the wall and I have no idea where it ends (and I have a self-installed low voltage lighting system, so a transformer is a VERY visible component). I’ve swapped out bulbs with my working LV lighting, but nothing.

Indoor lights into outdoor lights?

I’m looking for outdoor wall mount sconce style lights for an outside bar. All the cool ones are either indoor only or outdoor and 0 each. Is it possible to fix up the wiring/bulb receptacle so I can use an indoor light outdoors? How?
Will be low voltage lighting-mood lighting if you will, no 100 watt bulbs getting wired up

How many low voltage indoor lights ?

I am replacing some standard recessed lights with low voltage recessed lights. These are halogen low voltage and not CFBs. I am wondering if I can increase the number of lights on this leg of the circuit from the existing 6, would like 8 (there are other lights throughout the house on this 15A circuit). Today there are six 6inch 65W standard incandescent lights, would like 8 low voltage (12v) 50W lights. Not sure if there is anything specific I need to be concerned with with respect to low voltage lighting.
thanks.
Should of added, the potentially new lights have integrated transformers. It is not 1 transformer for all shared lights, 1 transformer (integrated to recessed can) per light. thanks.
