How long would it take to get across thegalaxy, sun, solar system at the speed of light?

How long would it take to get from one side of our sun, the milky way galaxy, our solar system, any size red giant, and any size nebula to the other at the speed of light?
how long would it take to get from one side of the solar system to other <including the oort cloud> at the speed of light

Can you overload solar panels with too much light?

If you were to shine, for example, heat lamps onto the solar panel along with the sun, will the solar panel eventually not work? Or will they produce more light as long as more light is directed onto them.

Can Solar Panels be Charged by CFL lights?

You know how those little calculator solar cells cant work when its dark? Well what if one of those cells could power a light that would keep it on to power the light. I mean, its a perpetual cycle that would never end.

I’m interested in building a solar system, but I’m pretty sure that I’ll need more energy for a longer amount of time than the sun can give me, so I was wondering:

If i built a Solar Generator that powered CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lights) and had the CFLs right on top of the panels, could I power other electronics 24/7 from the light’s energy going into the solar panels?

How efficiently do solar cells work with artificial light?

For instance, a calculator using a solar cell will work in artificial light with no sun (I think). How efficiently would that run? What kind of bulb would be best?

For a solar light, whats the exposure/run time ratio? Whats the general efficiency?

Does anyone know what the ratio or at least a general ballpark run time for a solar light? For example, like if you expose a solar light to the sun for 1 hour, will it give you 1 hour of light? or is it more like 1 hour of exposure=4 hours of light?

Appropriate plastic thickness for outdoor covering?

If I wanted a light cover for something outside, what type of thickness of plastic sheeting would be good to have? It probably will not have to deal with weather, because it will be brought inside before rain, and it will not get wet. It will however be out in sunlight frequently. Is 4.5mil thick enough? Also, is black or clear better? is one more durable, does one deal better with the sun? is one cheaper? Thanks in advance.

Can you clean plastic that has been dyed yellow by the sun?

I have outdoor spot lights that have a plastic covering on them. Can I make them look clear again instead of yellow? I think they’ve been dyed by the sun. What can I use to clean them?

can you use real batteries in outdoor solar lights?

I replaced one that had a bad solar rechargeable. It sure looked a lot brighter! What will happen in the morning? Will it explode when the sun comes out??!!

Do solar panels use the light from the sun, the heat from the sun or both?

I was wondering if photovoltaic panels (solar panels) harness the light or the heat from the sun (or both). Also I was wondering if solar power would work in areas of the world that are sunny but not necesarily hot?

What are your thoughts on 'So, What Happened To Rembrant?' morning poem?

Monet sunset of neurotic twirled oranges’ pink,
cathedraled blusterings of thunderheads high,
lighting, highlighting twilight grays’ usurpation…
Did I not see, to envy weathered palettes…

Dali sunrise slurring, melting, dripping the sun
liquid over sliding landscapes, framed stark
spires twisted, deadened memories of trees…
Did I not see, to question this palette…

Van Gogh drags both into a starry, starry day
we feel…
Watch with me…it begins.
