Will i be electricuted or burn down the house?. Cord question?
Ok here is the scenerio. I have outdoor christmas lights hooked up to a outdoor cord. My house does not have a outdoor outlet so I have an adapter hooking the outdoor to the indoor then through the front door and plugging it into the living room leaving the indoor plug subjectable to the elements. I solved that by wrapping a paper bag over that part. I feel deep down that I am being stupid but Im not one to trust my instincts and I know squat about electricity. Not looking for a lesson more of the percentage of death and destruction.

I can only guess that your indoor plugin is a three wire, grounded outlet.
As long as you have all the cords & connections that are exposed to the elements done with outdoor cords, you should be fine.
I wouldn’t use paper to cover the connection between cords.
If I was going to wrap it, I would use something waterproof, like saran wrap, or a walmart bag. then secure it with electrical tape.

I would use a little bit of electrical tape followed by saran wrap. Electrical tape is sold at Wal*Mart for cheap, AND it is SUPPOSED to be used for this, saran wrap is just to help keep the water an extra barrier away…

Go with Zach, Get rid of the paper bag. use plastic and wrap it good with tape

Hire an electrician to install an outdoor outlet, it will save the hassles in the future, and you could easily trip over the cord going through the door and die when your head hits the cement
