Wy do people leave holiday lights & xmas trees on past New Years? Bad luck to shut off B4 new years but past?
I understand that many people believe that it is bad luck to shut down until after January 1st, but I always begin taking everything down on January 2nd. Even as I write this, I drive by neighborhoods with full outdoor lighting and a tree in the window. Is there something I don’t get?

because they are trying to drive me crazy and its working
The church calendar has 12 days of Christmas, starting Christmas Eve. (remember the song? The 12 days are AFTER Christmas,) High churches use this calendar; Roman Catholic, Lutheran, Espicopalian, Methodist, and perhaps others.
